Bubble

Bubble (バブル, 2022) is a Japanese fantasy anime you can watch online on iFILM. Bubbles have rained down on Tokyo, gravity no longer behaves, and the flooded city has become a parkour playground for kids left behind.

Hibiki races across the abandoned skyline until a fall into a whirlpool throws him together with Uta, a girl who emerged from a bubble and obeys none of the rules around her. Director Tetsuro Araki, known for Attack on Titan, builds the whole film around vertical motion: characters leap, glide and soar above the water in long, weightless runs.

Written by Gen Urobuchi with a score by Hiroyuki Sawano, the story borrows the bones of The Little Mermaid and retells them after the end of the world. If you want anime that runs on movement and color more than dialogue, this one delivers. Stream Bubble (2022) online on iFILM.
