Synopsis

An American sub goes dark in Arctic waters. Captain Joe Glass (Butler) takes USS Arkansas deep to investigate — and finds a full-blown coup in progress. The Russian president has been seized, rogue generals have the launch codes, and a US special ops team is already on the ground trying to pull him out. Glass has to decide whether to follow orders or trust his gut, with the clock running for everyone.
Common and Toby Stephens play the men on the ground, Linda Cardellini the NSA analyst tracking the crisis from above. The film delivers exactly what the genre promises: tight corridors, sonar pings, ticking timers. No subtext, no complications — just a very good reason to hold your breath.
