Synopsis
The Theatre Bizarre (2011) is a horror anthology you can watch online on iFILM. Young Enola Penny finds the door of a long-abandoned theatre slightly ajar and slips inside before dawn.
In the dark auditorium a creepy human puppet named Peg Poett — wearing Udo Kier's face — hosts six short tales, each odder than the one before. A witch in the remote Pyrenees. Jealousy shoved past its breaking point. The Freudian dreams of a cheating husband, real-world horror filtered through a child's mind, a woman who feeds on other people's memories through the fluid of their eyeballs, and a sugar craving that curdles into something much worse. Seven directors split the segments — Richard Stanley, Buddy Giovinazzo, Tom Savini, Karim Hussain and others.
It's a pick for anyone missing thick, practical, body-horror anthologies in the old Creepshow mold: real latex, real blood, pitch-black humor. The quality swings hard — some stories play elegant, others land flat-out repulsive, and that uneven spread is the whole point. Stream The Theatre Bizarre (2011) online on iFILM.
