Synopsis
Prime Suspect (1991), Season 7 — watch online on iFILM — closes the series with two 2006 episodes and Jane Tennison's last case, Helen Mirren playing her right to the end. Retirement is near. Letting go is the one thing she never learned.
A fourteen-year-old schoolgirl, Sallie, goes missing, and before long her body turns up. The murder inquiry runs alongside Tennison's own life coming apart: her father is gravely ill, and more and more she reaches for a drink to get through it. In the second part the truth about Sallie's death surfaces, suspect Curtis Flynn runs, and the case ends in a confrontation that leaves nothing where it was.
This is the epilogue season — lighter on procedure, heavier on what fifteen years of the job do to a person. Mirren plays Tennison at breaking point: tired, drinking, still the sharpest mind in the room and utterly alone outside it. A strong send-off for one of British television's defining police dramas.
