Synopsis
Death Line (1972), released in the US as Raw Meat, is a British horror film you can watch online on iFILM. People keep vanishing around Russell Square Underground station, and Scotland Yard is finally forced to pay attention.
Beneath the platforms lurks a Victorian secret. A tunnel collapse in the 19th century buried a work crew alive; the company went bankrupt and the abandoned line was sealed off. Some of them survived, and their feral descendants have spent generations feeding on the stragglers who miss the last train. Donald Pleasence plays the sour, tea-obsessed Inspector Calhoun running the case.
Director Gary Sherman made one of the first horror films to treat its monster as pitiable as much as frightening. A brief Christopher Lee appearance adds weight, while the grimy, claustrophobic world of the tube has earned the film a lasting cult following. Watch Death Line (1972) online on iFILM.
