Dead & Buried

Dead & Buried (1981) is an American horror film directed by Gary Sherman — watch it online on iFILM. The coastal town of Potters Bluff seems like a quiet, welcoming place. Too welcoming, in fact. Tourists who pass through are greeted warmly, then killed in ritual mob attacks by the very townsfolk who smiled at them.

Sheriff Dan Gibbs starts looking into the murders and runs into something that breaks every rule of logic: the victims keep turning up alive, going about their days as ordinary residents. James Farentino and Melody Anderson lead the cast; Jack Albertson plays the local mortician with a peculiar enthusiasm for his work. Robert Englund — years before Freddy Krueger made him famous — appears in a small but memorable role.
