Spaced (1999-2001) is the British sitcom you can watch online on iFILM, where two near-strangers pretend to be a couple just to land a cheap flat in north London.

Tim has lost his girlfriend and his home in one go; she left him for a mate. Daisy is a writer who talks about her work far more than she does it. They split the rent on rooms above a perpetually tipsy landlady, Marsha, while a gloomy artist named Brian broods in the flat below. Round them orbit gun-obsessed Mike and the catty Twist. Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes star and also wrote the scripts, packing every episode with nods to Star Wars, zombie movies and video games.

Edgar Wright directed both series years before Shaun of the Dead, and his trademark style was born right here: whip-fast cuts, sight gags, a rhythm closer to a music video than a sitcom.
