Synopsis
Lucky Luke: The Ballad of the Daltons (1978) is a French animated western comedy from the Morris–Goscinny comics, ready to watch online on iFILM. The four Dalton brothers stand to inherit a rich uncle's fortune — under one bloody condition.
To collect, the Daltons must gun down the judge and every juror who sent their uncle to the gallows. It's a long list, and while the brothers shoot straight, they don't think straight. So they need a guide, and at gunpoint they drag along Lucky Luke, the cowboy who draws faster than his own shadow. The trek across the Wild West turns into one absurd trap, song and chase after another.
Morris, the artist who created Lucky Luke, worked on the film himself, alongside writer René Goscinny of Asterix fame. It's a light, hand-drawn, tongue-in-cheek western for the whole family, one that lands its jokes for kids and for the grown-ups raised on the comics alike.
