Alex Reiger has quietly accepted that driving is his life, which makes him the garage's reluctant conscience. Lording over them from his caged dispatcher's booth is Louie De Palma — a pint-sized tyrant Danny DeVito turned into one of television's great comic villains. Christopher Lloyd adds the unhinged "Reverend" Jim, while Andy Kaufman makes Latka a show unto himself.

Created by veterans of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, it pulled in eighteen Emmy Awards across five seasons, three of them for Outstanding Comedy Series.
