Synopsis
Go West: A Lucky Luke Adventure (2007) is a French animated comedy you can watch online on iFILM, based on the classic Lucky Luke comics. New York, 1855: the four Dalton brothers break out yet again and start knocking over banks.
Luke catches them, but sly Joe Dalton stashes the loot in the wagon of a band of gullible European settlers who have eighty days to reach California and claim their land. The fastest cowboy in the West agrees to guide the convoy across the prairie and haul the Daltons off to jail — while they spend the whole trip scheming to grab their money back. The hand-drawn action gallops along with chases, trains, buffalo and Luke's clever horse Jolly Jumper.
Olivier Jean-Marie, who ran the Lucky Luke TV series, directs, so the timing and gags click from the first minute. This is classic European animation in the René Goscinny spirit — no 3D gloss, plenty of character. A family western that plays for kids and for parents raised on Asterix alike.
