Synopsis
Stir of Echoes: The Homecoming (2007) is a direct sequel to the 1999 supernatural thriller, available to watch online on iFILM. Director Ernie Barbarash shifts the setting: Iraq war veteran Ted Kogan (Rob Lowe) comes home from deployment and can't escape what followed him back. The nightmares he puts down to combat trauma turn out to be something else.
The dead won't leave him alone — and some of them want something from him. The Iraq backdrop gives the haunting a specific moral weight the original didn't need: guilt, the faces of people who didn't come home. Tatiana Maslany appears in an early role, years before Orphan Black made her famous. It's a straight-to-cable sequel that takes its premise seriously.
