Reaper (2007) is a fantasy comedy from The CW you can watch online on iFILM. On his 21st birthday, slacker Sam Oliver discovers his parents signed his soul over to the Devil before he was even born. The bill has come due.

Satan — played by Ray Wise with a smile that never quite reaches his eyes — shows up personally to hand Sam his first assignment: recapture an escaped soul and return it to Hell. The containment vessel this time is a remote-control car. Future assignments involve a toaster. Sam drags his best friend Ben (Tyler Labine) and buddy Sock (Rick Gonzalez) into the operation, and the three of them muddle through with the same low-grade competence they bring to their retail day jobs. Meanwhile, Sam's romantic situation with the girl who insists they're just friends isn't going any better.

Wise is the reason to watch — he makes the Devil charming, reasonable, and quietly terrifying all at once. The CW cancelled Reaper after two seasons (2007–2009) despite solid critical notices, and it's exactly the kind of show that found its real audience on streaming. Stream Reaper online on iFILM.
