Synopsis
A League of Their Own (2022) is Amazon's period dramedy you can watch online on iFILM. It's 1943, the men have shipped off to war, and a women's professional baseball league is taking shape in the American Midwest.
Carson Shaw leaves a quiet married life behind and shows up for tryouts in Rockford, where she finally finds people who get her. Running alongside is Max Chapman, a Black pitcher with a wicked arm who gets turned away at those same tryouts and has to chase the game by another road. Abbi Jacobson, who also plays Carson, created the show with Will Graham, loosely reworking Penny Marshall's 1992 movie.
Across eight episodes the first season is about far more than baseball — friendship, queer romance, and the people wartime America would rather not look at.
