Synopsis
Prehistoric Planet (2023), Season 2 — watch online on iFILM. Five fresh episodes return to the final days of the Cretaceous 66 million years ago, with David Attenborough narrating once more over the lives of the dinosaurs.
This run swaps in new terrain: islands, badlands, swamps, oceans, and North America. As before, the show leans on real animal behaviour instead of staged brawls. A giant Hatzegopteryx pterosaur shows a surprisingly tender side while courting a mate on a tiny island. Two young Tarchia stumble onto an oasis guarded by an adult twice their size. An old Pachycephalosaurus bull fends off a younger rival for the herd, and a Mosasaurus, the largest predator of its age, waits in the deep ocean dark. The closer hands the spotlight to North America and a T. rex that almost nothing dares disturb — except one enormous winged enemy.
