The Order

The Order (2001) is an action-adventure film starring Jean-Claude Van Damme — watch it online on iFILM. Van Damme plays Rudy, an artifacts smuggler with a talent for trouble, who heads to Jerusalem after his archaeologist father goes missing. Director Sheldon Lettich, who previously teamed up with Van Damme on Double Impact, keeps the pace relentless and the plot comfortably secondary to the stunts.

Rudy's trail leads to a centuries-old sect with apocalyptic ambitions and zero patience for outside interference. The Jerusalem backdrop is the real thing — narrow alleys, ancient stonework, and rooftop chases shot on location. Charlton Heston shows up briefly as the father, Sofia Milos plays the Israeli detective who keeps pulling Rudy out of trouble, and Brian Thompson is convincingly menacing as the cult's enforcer.
