Cowboy Bebop: The Movie
They're here to save the planet. But not for free.
Synopsis
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (2001) is the feature-length chapter of Shinichirō Watanabe's cult anime, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Mars, 2071, the night before Halloween.
A tanker blast releases a lethal virus across the city, and the government posts the biggest bounty anyone can remember. The crew of the Bebop takes the job — Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine and the kid hacker Ed, with Ein the corgi along for the ride. The trail leads to Vincent, a man with no past whom others are hunting too, and the closer they get, the less it looks like easy money.
Yoko Kanno's jazz score and the show's signature noir mood carry the whole thing, scaled up to real cinema rather than a stretched episode. You don't need the series to follow it — the setup stands on its own. A clean way in for anyone curious why Bebop earned its classic status. Stream Knockin' on Heaven's Door online on iFILM.
