Synopsis
Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV (2001) is a Troma splatter-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. It is the fourth round for the mutant superhero who keeps Tromaville safe with a mop and a tutu.
A blast at a school for special kids tears a hole in reality and opens a portal to a mirror dimension called Amortville. Toxie gets stranded on the wrong side, while his evil twin — the Noxious Offender — crosses into our world with the same powers and none of the conscience. As the real hero claws his way home, the double turns Tromaville into a gore-soaked nightmare. Troma founder Lloyd Kaufman directs with his usual abandon: geysers of fake blood, gags well below the belt, and zero respect for good taste. A young James Gunn wrote the script years before Guardians of the Galaxy, and Stan Lee himself handles the narration.
Ron Jeremy and Corey Feldman turn up along the way, because Troma always assembled an odd crowd. This is deliberately deranged, crude, not-for-everyone filmmaking: either you love grimy low-budget grotesquerie or you run from it. For cult-trash devotees it lands perfectly.
