Ju-on: The Grudge 2

Ju-on: The Grudge 2 (呪怨2, 2003) is Takashi Shimizu's follow-up to his own J-horror landmark — watch online on iFILM to see the Saeki curse spread well beyond the walls of one haunted house. The premise this time: a paranormal TV program decides to shoot an episode inside the original Saeki house, the site of the killings that started the whole chain. The host, the crew, the producer — all of them walk in.

Strange things start before they even set up the cameras. Shimizu brings back Takako Fuji as the ghost Kayako and keeps the film's signature sound design — that rasping, guttural creak — while moving the story into new territory. The curse here doesn't wait to be disturbed; it attaches itself to anyone who gets close enough, then follows them wherever they go. That's what makes this franchise's internal logic genuinely unsettling rather than just gross.
