Synopsis
Walled In (2009) is a Canadian-French horror thriller available to watch online on iFILM. Director Gilles Paquet-Brenner built this claustrophobic chiller around Mischa Barton as Sam Walczak, a young demolitions engineer sent to oversee the teardown of a condemned apartment block — only to find the building still occupied.
One of the tenants, a young man named Jimmy (Cameron Bright), shares a local legend about a serial killer who sealed his victims inside the walls of the building. The deeper Sam digs into the property's history, the harder it becomes to separate urban myth from concrete fact. Deborah Kara Unger adds a layer of unsettling calm to the remaining residents who refuse to leave.
Paquet-Brenner keeps the horror slow and structural — the dread comes from confinement and the sense that every exit has already been bricked shut, not from jump cuts. It works better than the premise suggests, and it's a decent pick if you prefer mood over gore. Watch Walled In (2009) online on iFILM.
