Synopsis
Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (2013) is an American drama written and directed by Tyler Perry — watch online on iFILM with Jurnee Smollett, Lance Gross, and Robbie Jones. Judith has known her husband Brice her whole life. Now a newly minted graduate student in psychotherapy, she takes a position at an elite matchmaking firm and meets Harley, a billionaire investor who decides he wants her from the first conversation.
Brice is decent but static — he remembers the day they met and forgets her birthday every year after. Harley remembers everything. Judith's resistance erodes gradually, then collapses all at once, and the marriage she's had since childhood becomes collateral damage. Kim Kardashian and Vanessa Williams round out a cast that Perry built to carry a specific moral weight.
Perry frames the story as confession from the start, which means the audience knows this ends badly before it ends badly. That's intentional.
