Synopsis
The Driftless Area (2015) is available to watch online on iFILM, directed by Zachary Sluser with a cast that includes Anton Yelchin, Zooey Deschanel, Aubrey Plaza, John Hawkes, Ciarán Hinds, and Frank Langella. After his parents die, Pierre — an optimistic bartender — returns to the rural Wisconsin town where he grew up. Nothing urgent pulls him back; nothing is waiting.
He meets Stella. She's hard to place, compelling in a way Pierre can't quite explain. Following her draws him into a situation involving a bag of cash, an erratic and determined criminal, and a sequence of events that starts to feel less like coincidence and more like design.
