Synopsis
Home Team (2022) is a Netflix family sports comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Kevin James plays NFL coach Sean Payton, a Super Bowl winner who gets suspended for a season and heads back to his hometown, where he barely knows his own kid.
Twelve-year-old Connor plays in a Pop Warner youth league for a team that loses pretty much every week. Restless and out of a job, Sean offers to help the amateur coaches and immediately drags pro-level drills onto a kids' field. The players aren't ready for that. Neither are the parents. And Sean slowly figures out that winning a season and becoming a real dad are two very different games.
The story grows out of the actual pause in Payton's career after the Bountygate scandal. It's a soft, low-stakes movie from Adam Sandler's Happy Madison shop, with Taylor Lautner and Rob Schneider alongside James. Good for an undemanding night in with the whole family.
