The Wailing

The Wailing (El llanto, 2024) is a Spanish-Argentine horror film you can watch online on iFILM. It marks the feature debut of director Pedro Martín Calero and stars Ester Expósito as Andrea, a Madrid student who learns she was adopted — and that her birth mother died only a month ago.

Then the haunting begins. Andrea hears a woman crying through her headphones, a sound nobody else can pick up. On every video she appears in, an old man dressed in black lurks behind her, visible only on screen and nowhere in the room. Two decades earlier, half a world away, another young woman tried to warn someone about the same lurking threat. The link between them surfaces slowly, without cheap jump scares.
