Mieruko-chan (Season 1)

Mieruko-chan (見える子ちゃん, 2021) is a Japanese horror-comedy anime series you can watch online on iFILM. Based on Tomoki Izumi's manga, the show follows high-schooler Miko, who one day develops the ability to see terrifying supernatural creatures — hulking, grotesque things that no one else around her can perceive.

Miko's survival plan is aggressively simple: ignore them. Don't make eye contact. Act normal. The comedy comes from watching her maintain a perfectly blank face while something nightmarish shoves its head directly into hers. Her best friend Hana is completely oblivious, which only makes Miko's situation lonelier and funnier at the same time. Sora Amamiya voices Miko; Kaede Hondo plays Hana.
