Synopsis
Orange (2016) is a slice-of-life anime series you can watch online on iFILM. On the first morning of the school year, sixteen-year-old Naho Takamiya opens a letter addressed to her — written by herself, ten years older, from the future. It maps out her day hour by hour, and every line comes true.
The letter has one real request: keep an eye on the new transfer student, Kakeru Naruse. Older Naho regrets nothing more than how things went with him, so she feeds her younger self small nudges — turn left here, speak up there, don't let this moment pass. Bit by bit it becomes clear that behind Kakeru's easy smile is someone quietly going under, and the five friends have far less time than they think. Kana Hanazawa voices Naho; Seiichiro Yamashita plays Kakeru.
Adapted from Ichigo Takano's manga, it handles teenage grief with a hushed, almost documentary calm rather than melodrama. Thirteen episodes about a past you can't rewrite and the people you can still choose to stand beside. A good fit if you like gentle dramas like Your Name, minus the magic. Stream every episode of Orange online on iFILM.
