Synopsis
Cucuy: The Boogeyman (2018) is an American horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Children are vanishing one by one from a quiet town, the police have nothing, and whispers spread that the Cucuy has returned — the faceless boogeyman parents use to scare misbehaving kids to sleep.
Sophie, a rebellious teenager serving house arrest with an ankle monitor, kills the boredom by watching the street. Her eyes keep landing on the new neighbor, a grim, withdrawn man who showed up right as the disappearances began. The adults brush her off, and she can't leave her own porch to prove anything. The harder she digs, the murkier it gets: is she tracking a flesh-and-blood predator, or something out of the old legend that wears no face at all?
Director Peter Sullivan builds a tight 94-minute scare from Latin American folklore around the Cucuy, with Marisol Nichols and Brian Krause heading the cast.
