Synopsis
The Squad: Home Run (2023) is a French action thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Eight years ago, former police star Niels Cartier lost his wife when an operation went badly wrong.
Since then Niels (Alban Lenoir) has stayed far from the job — until the gang behind that night resurfaces and pulls off another heist. Revenge drags him back in, and the case quickly hardens into a private war. The catch: his reluctant new partner is his own fourteen-year-old daughter (Cassiopée Mayance), a hot-tempered kid with zero interest in taking orders from dad.
Jean Reno turns up in the cast, and director Benjamin Rocher stages the fights and chases with the rough edge of French genre cinema. It's a straight-ahead revenge picture whose real hook is the mismatched, combustible pairing of a grim cop and a defiant teen. No pretensions, plenty of punch.
