Synopsis
O'Horten is a quiet 2007 Norwegian comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Bent Hamer (Kitchen Stories). Odd Horten (Baard Owe) has driven the same train route for forty years and organized his entire life around the timetable. He's never missed a run.
On the night of his retirement dinner, he misses his final one. The train leaves without him. What follows is a series of low-key absurd encounters: a boy who needs a stranger to sit beside him until he falls asleep, a blindfolded friend steering through Oslo streets on instinct, a pair of red women's boots that end up in Odd's wardrobe without explanation. Hamer builds the comedy from understatement alone — nothing is telegraphed, the strangeness simply accumulates. Ghita Nørby and Bjørn Floberg co-star in this Norwegian-Danish-German co-production.
