Synopsis
Jesse Stone: Sea Change (2007) is a slow-burn crime drama you can watch online in good quality. Tom Selleck returns as the police chief of Paradise, a small New England resort town, and a fresh breakdown with his ex-wife is pulling him back toward the bottle. To stay dry, he reopens a case nobody wants touched: a bank teller gunned down during a robbery years ago.
The deeper Jesse digs, the more the town council pushes back. Paradise sells itself as a peaceful seaside getaway, and a cold murder plus a rape complaint ruin the brochure. Around him are deputy Luther "Suitcase" Simpson (Kohl Sudduth), assistant Rose (Kathy Baker), and a therapist he visits as reluctantly as he quits whiskey. Robert Harmon directs from Robert B. Parker's novels.
This is the fourth Jesse Stone film, and it leans on mood over plot — autumn light, quiet streets, a man solving other people's secrets because his own won't budge. Selleck plays him tired rather than heroic, and that's the appeal. It's for viewers who like their detective stories patient, without a shootout every ten minutes.
