Phantasm IV: Oblivion (1998) is an American sci-fi horror directed by Don Coscarelli — watch it online on iFILM. Reggie Bannister is back as Reggie, driving through a depopulated California, fighting off silver spheres and the undead in his hunt for Mike. Coscarelli made a distinctive choice here: he wove in footage shot for the original 1979 Phantasm that was never used, giving Oblivion an odd double-exposure quality — part sequel, part archaeological dig into the franchise's own past.
