Phantasm: Ravager

Phantasm: Ravager (2016) is the fifth and final chapter of the cult American horror franchise — watch it online on iFILM. Reggie, Mike, and Jody reunite for one last battle against the Tall Man and his otherworldly minions, across a story that deliberately blurs the line between what happened and what the characters only imagined.

The film leans hard into the surreal logic that defined the series from the beginning: shifting timelines, crumbling reality, dimensional horror that refuses to explain itself. That disorientation is intentional, and anyone coming in without the earlier four films will feel lost — which is by design for the original audience. Director David Hartman took on the project as a passion continuation, shooting parts of it on digital over several years before completing it.

Angus Scrimm reprises the Tall Man for the last time. The actor died in January 2016, making Ravager his final performance and turning the film into an unplanned elegy for one of horror's most distinctive villains.
