Promare

Promare (プロメア, 2019) is Studio Trigger's theatrical anime film — watch it online on iFILM. Director Hiroyuki Imaishi, the man behind Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill, brings 111 minutes of maximalist action set in a world where a portion of humanity has spontaneously mutated and gained the ability to generate fire.

These mutants — called Burnish — have been pushed to the margins of society. Some have formed a militant group determined to burn the world down. Galo Thymos is a rookie firefighter in Burning Rescue, an elite squad built specifically to counter Burnish attacks. When he goes head-to-head with the Burnish leader Lio Fotia, both of them start discovering that the official story about who the enemy actually is might not hold up.

Trigger's visual language here is fully unhinged in the best sense — geometric explosions, neon-saturated color blocks, animation that prioritizes impact over realism at every turn. It's loud, fast, and completely sincere about it. Stream Promare online on iFILM.
