Synopsis
Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part III: Rebellion (2013) is the third and final chapter of the Madoka Magica film trilogy, available to watch online on iFILM. Aoi Yuki and Chiwa Saito bring real weight to the voice performances, carrying scenes that a lesser production would have resolved with action sequences instead.
Rebellion is deliberately unsettling as an ending: it unpicks what appeared to be a resolution and leaves the fundamental question — what salvation actually costs — open and uncomfortable. For anyone who cares about the magical girl genre as more than surface spectacle, this is the film that makes the argument.
