Pippi in the South Seas

Pippi in the South Seas (Pippi Långstrump på de sju haven, 1970) is a Swedish family adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Director Olle Hellbom brings Astrid Lindgren's freckled, super-strong heroine to the screen, with Inger Nilsson as Pippi.

Pippi's father, a sea captain, has been seized by pirates somewhere in the South Seas. So she does what no grown-up would dare: she sets sail to rescue him. Her neighbours Tommy and Annika tag along, and so do her horse and her little monkey, Mr. Nilsson. Storms, a tropical island and a band of bumbling buccaneers stand between her and her dad.

This is the third feature in the beloved Swedish Pippi series, written for the screen by Lindgren herself.
