The Gathering

Workers in an English town unearth an ancient church buried underground. The frescoes inside depict people watching Christ's crucifixion — except the faces are those of real, recurring figures cursed to witness every great catastrophe through history. On the same morning, American traveler Cassie is struck by a car and wakes up with no memory of who she is or why she came here. As fragments surface, the faces from the fresco start appearing around town.
