Synopsis
The Hitcher II: I've Been Waiting (2003) is an American horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Years after barely surviving a killer on a Texas highway, Jim Halsey is reckless enough to drive that same road again.
This time Jim (C. Thomas Howell) has company — his girlfriend Maggie (Kari Wührer). The road stays empty until they pick up a hitchhiker who turns out to be a calm, methodical murderer (Jake Busey). He guns down strangers and pins every body on the couple, until Jim looks far guiltier than the man actually holding the knife.
A direct follow-up to the 1986 original, shot by Louis Morneau straight for the home-video market. Howell stepped back into the role seventeen years on, while Busey plays the new drifter with a grin that does most of the heavy lifting.
