Dad's Army (Seasons 1–9)

Dad's Army is a British comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. It ran on BBC from 1968 to 1977 — nine series created by David Croft and Jimmy Perry — and it has barely aged a day.

The setting is Walmington-On-Sea, a fictional English coastal town, during World War Two. While the real army handles the fighting somewhere far away, the local Home Guard is left to defend the coast. Captain Mainwaring (Arthur Lowe) commands with total confidence and minimal competence. His sergeant Wilson (John Le Mesurier) is too well-bred to point that out. The rest of the platoon — a butcher, a bank clerk, an ancient Scottish undertaker, a panicking greengrocer — round out one of British comedy's most perfectly cast ensembles.
