Helios

Helios (赤道, 2015) is a Hong Kong action thriller you can watch online on iFILM, co-directed by Lok Man Leung and Leung Lok-man. A wanted international criminal called "Helios" has secured enough enriched uranium to build a bomb — and already has a buyer lined up inside a Hong Kong terrorist cell.

The task force assembled to stop him barely functions as a unit: Hong Kong police inspectors, a Chinese government liaison, a nuclear physics professor, and two South Korean weapons specialists who trust nobody. Jacky Cheung, Nick Cheung, Shawn Yue, and Chang Chen lead the cast, with K-drama stars Ji Jin-hee and Choi Si-won on the Korean side of the operation. The film's real tension comes from a coalition that's supposed to cooperate but doesn't quite manage it — the politics between the characters mirrors the frictions between their jurisdictions.
