Synopsis
Extraordinary Tales (2015) is an animated horror anthology drawn from Edgar Allan Poe, and it's ready to watch online on iFILM. Five of his darkest stories, each rendered in its own visual style.
The collection adapts The Fall of the House of Usher, The Pit and the Pendulum, The Masque of the Red Death, The Tell-Tale Heart and The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar. Madness, plague, murder and dread run through all five, and the animation keeps shifting technique — from stark comic-book lines to thick painterly frames.
Director Raúl García enlisted genre royalty to narrate: Christopher Lee, Guillermo del Toro, Roger Corman and Julian Sands, with archival recordings of the late Bela Lugosi standing in for one chapter.
