Synopsis
Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart to Hades (1972) is Kenji Misumi's samurai actioner, ready to watch online on iFILM. It's the third chapter in the saga of Ogami Itto, a disgraced executioner who roams feudal Japan pushing his little son down the road in a wooden cart.
Cast out of his clan, the swordsman now sells his blade as a hired killer, with toddler Daigoro rolling along beside him. This time Itto's path crosses that of a young woman sold into a brothel by her own parents. To buy her freedom, he offers his body to a yakuza gang's torturers, endures every blow, and walks away with a contract from their boss: kill a corrupt chamberlain. Along the way he duels a runaway samurai who values honor over coin.
Tomisaburo Wakayama plays Itto as a near-silent slab of muscle and steel — few words, plenty of severed limbs. The series sprang from the cult manga by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima, and its geysers of blood later bled straight into Tarantino's Kill Bill.
