Synopsis

After a car accident kills Audrey, Laurel walks away and, by choice, doesn't correct the hospital's mistake. She steps into her sister's apartment, her sister's friends, her sister's life. Neighbor Carly (Ron Livingston) and the appealingly low-key Bas (Jake Johnson) make staying tempting — but the deception keeps widening.
What makes the film work is that LaMarque never turns the identity swap into a thriller twist or a farce. Kazan plays both versions of the same person with real restraint, and the question underneath everything — why couldn't Laurel just be herself? — lands harder than the plot does.
