Perfumes

Perfumes (Les Parfums, 2020) is a French dramedy you can watch online on iFILM about a brilliant nose and the driver stuck behind the wheel. Emmanuelle Devos plays Anne Walberg, a celebrated perfumer with a flawless sense of smell and an impossible temper.

He's the only one who won't flinch at her moods, which is exactly why she keeps him around. Out of mutual irritation, something neither of them planned slowly takes shape.

This is small-scale French cinema with no big twists: it rides entirely on its two leads and on a strange profession rendered with real precision.
