Synopsis

On New Year's Eve, nine-year-old Vanya from Kirov learns his parents are breaking up. Refusing to accept it, he slips away alone toward Veliky Ustyug to ask Father Frost for a miracle. The trip turns far riskier than he bargained for — odd traveling companions, near misses and one trial after another. Meanwhile his mother and father scramble to find him before the clock strikes twelve.
