Synopsis
Riphagen the Untouchable (2016) is a Dutch historical thriller you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Pieter Kuijpers. Amsterdam, 1944. Andries Riphagen runs the city's underworld and has struck a profitable arrangement with the Nazi occupiers — he delivers Jewish families in hiding, takes everything they own, and collects the payment.
Jeroen van Koningsbrugge plays Riphagen as a man who reads every room and plays every side. He sold out the resistance with the same cold calculation. When liberation came in May 1945, collaborators faced justice — but Riphagen, as always, found a way out. The film is tight and stripped-down, more interested in how such a man operates than in whether he ever feels regret. Stream Riphagen (2016) on iFILM.
