Hot Bot

Hot Bot (2016) is an American sci-fi comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Michael Polish. Two hopelessly uncool high school guys stumble across a state-of-the-art android built for a wealthy senator — and suddenly their biggest problem isn't college applications anymore.

The bot needs to stay hidden. Everyone else — the senator, cops, assorted adults with agendas — wants her back. Zack and Leonard have approximately zero useful skills for this situation, which is more or less the point. The cast includes Larry Miller, Danny Masterson, Anthony Anderson, Donald Faison and Angela Kinsey, all of whom seem to be having more fun than anyone has a right to in an 86-minute romp.

Hot Bot plays it straight from the classic teen comedy playbook: awkward situations, frantic chases, poor decisions made at full speed. It doesn't pretend to be anything else, and that's honestly what makes it watchable. Stream Hot Bot online on iFILM.
