Synopsis
Stutz (2022) is a Netflix documentary you can watch online on iFILM, directed by and starring Jonah Hill. It follows a series of candid conversations between Hill and his real-life psychiatrist, Dr. Phil Stutz, a Los Angeles therapist who built his practice around something unusual: concrete, almost visual tools for working through anxiety, pain and self-sabotage rather than open-ended sessions.
Hill comes in as both subject and filmmaker, letting the camera catch him mid-vulnerability — childhood weight, grief, relationships, the distance between his public self and the private one. Stutz pushes back, shares his own diagnosis, and refuses to stay safely behind the professional wall. The result is less a self-help guide and more an honest look at what it actually means to be helped by someone who is also figuring things out. For a genre that usually flatters both parties, this one takes a risk. Stream Stutz (2022) online on iFILM.
