Synopsis
Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind (2018) is an HBO documentary you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Marina Zenovich. It covers Williams's life and career from the chaotic late-1970s comedy clubs of Los Angeles through to his death in August 2014 — told largely through his own voice.
Zenovich worked with previously unseen archive footage and gathered testimonies from David Letterman, Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, Pam Dawber, and Eric Idle, among others. Williams himself appears extensively, talking about where the improvisation came from, why he couldn't slow down, and what that relentlessness cost him. The film runs 116 minutes and doesn't rush through the difficult parts.
