Synopsis
Gourmet Detective: Roux the Day (2020) is a Hallmark mystery you can watch online on iFILM. Food expert Henry Ross agrees to authenticate a long-lost, hugely valuable recipe book — and walks straight into a murder case.
The book is worth a fortune, and the moment Henry gets close to it, it vanishes again while bodies start turning up around him. He teams with San Francisco police detective Maggie Price to untangle who wants the recipes badly enough to kill. Dylan Neal and Brooke Burns play the duo with easy banter, slipping flirtation in between witness interviews and the occasional sauce tasting.
This is the fifth and final entry in the cozy Gourmet Detective series, directed by Mark Jean and rooted in Peter King's novels, with TV veteran Bruce Boxleitner turning up in support.
