The plan is simple: a viral-cute pet boosts her popularity right before the vote. Trouble is, the animal turns out to be clever, thin-skinned and far less harmless than it looks. Cross its owner and you might not see morning, as a run of ridiculous deaths sweeps the campus and the sleepy-eyed pet tops the suspect list. The silliness is deliberate, and the whole movie leans into it.
