This time the King decides he wants his daughter back and hires a Detective to retrieve her. The Princess is captured and dragged to the castle. The Troubadour — voiced again by the great Muslim Magomayev — sets off with his animal band to free her. The rescue is brisk and musical, entirely true to the spirit of the first film.
